Black and white photograph showing the Allen steam turbine-driven alternator sets in the Power House (Building 11) of the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd Coburg factory complex during the construction phase in mid to late 1960. This view shows the 1200KW unit in the foreground and the 500KW unit behind it. A turbine catwalk was being constructed around the complex steam controls which allowed a boiler house operator to adjust these controls whilst monitoring the instrumentation panel in the right of photo.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
