Returned Sailors & Soldiers Imperial League Membership Badge issued in Australia, circa 1920.
The current version of this badge, introduced in 1990, is known as the Returned & Services League badge.
It is to be "worn in honour only by those who have rendered service in the armed forces of the Crown or its allies".
A crowned shield shaped enamelled red, white and blue badge with lugs removed from back. The obverse depicts a sailor and a soldier with rifles, below on a red ribbon, AUSTRALIA around on a blue background, RETURNED SAILORS & SOLDIERS . IMPERIAL LEAGUE . The reverse has been stamped, S 469 and has the makers name, S.S. & Co / ADELAIDE
