Summary
Delivery van appears to be an Austin Seven.
Description of Content
The shopfront of Bristol Laundry, 415 Glenhuntly Road, South Caulfield. In front of the shop is the firm's delivery van with a man in the driver's seat. A woman is standing on the footpath alongside the vehicle. Adjoining the laundry is a Milk Bar with an advertisement for 'ice- blocks'. There is an ornate Victorian cast-iron lace veranda and pillars covering both shops. During the war the car used a coke burner to run the car instead of petrol, which was rationed. Chapel Streeet St Kilda.
