Model made by workers at the workshop of the Ceremonies Team for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. This foam rubber model was a 1:20 scale mock-up of the concept for the Eel puppets that appeared in the Opening Ceremony of the Games. The design of the puppets was created by Dan Potra, Ceremonies Designer for the Games, and Wesley Enoch, the Director of the Indigenous Segment of the Opening Ceremony. The final puppets were 12 meters long. The designs on the final puppets were created by an Indigenous artist.
