Summary

An unissued specimen of the The Air Crew Europe Star. It was awarded for two months operational flying from United Kingdom bases over Europe and the United Kingdom between 3 September 1939 and 5 June 1944. The 1939-45 Star must be earned first. A person qualifying for this Star and the Atlantic Star and the France and Germany Star is awarded only the first earned, plus Clasps for the others. A silver rose emblem is worn on the ribbon bar to denote the award of a bar.

A six pointed bronze star with loop and attached ribbon from top. The obverse features, below a crown, the Royal cypher GRI above VI (Translation- George VI King and Emperor); around THE AIR CREW EUROPE STAR. The reverse is plain.
