Celtic Club Badge made in Melbourne, circa 1903. The badge was presented to an unknown recipient by President of the Celtic Club, Mr Fox, for zeal in 1903-4.

The Celtic Club was founded on 26 September 1887, as a semi-political association, which was supportive of Irish Home Rule and championed the rights of Irish Australians.

Physical Description

9ct gold, hand-made. In centre , Celtic harp superimposed over shamrock. Above, inverted horseshoe , engraved THE CELTIC CLUB. Two stars above horseshoe. Sphere at left end of horseshoe, appears to be missing from right side. Three loops on top.
