Watercolour illustrations of an Australian Painted Lady, Vanessa kershawi, and an Australian Admiral Butterfly, Vanessa itea, by Arthur Bartholomew. These illustrations were finally published as Plate 198 in The Prodromus of Zoology of Victoria, by Frederick McCoy.

Note: Vanessa kershawi, described by McCoy in 1868 as Pyrameis kershawi, was named after the Museum taxidermist William Kershaw who collected insects for the Entomology Collection of the National Museum of Victoria.
