Plastic box containing a series of weights. Weights range from 100g to 200mg and are incomplete. Used with Sartorius Werke, (Gottingen Germany) analytical balance. Analytical weights: As typically used until the advent of budget priced single pan balances in the 50s - 60s. Fractional weights were formed from aluminium or non-tarnishing metal in sheet or wire form and were handled with forceps provided in the sets. Used by Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (CSL) Limited , Parkville, Victoria.

Physical Description

Oblong plastic box, with metal catch. Series of 9 weights inside, including cylinders for 100g, 50g, 20g, 20g, 10g, 5g, 2g, 2g, 1g, and paper-thin 500mg and 200mg. Plastic removable lid covers the thinner weights.
