Pale leather saddle worn by Phar Lap during training and trackwork. It was retained by family of his trainer Harry Telford family, and was amongst a number of items donated to the museum by them in the 1990s.

Physical Description

Pale leather training saddle made of padded leather, reinforced with a double layer beneath the saddle flap. Saddle features two leather straps on either side of the saddle strap, and no stirrup irons.
