Pocket sized suction kit for treatment of snake bite in the field. Traditionally a tourniquet was applied between the bite and the heart to keep the venom away from the circulation. A blade was then used to cut around the bite, and the venom was washed out with the blood, usually aided by suction. The kit from USA came with antiseptic, blade, tourniquet and pliable suction cups.Used by Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (CSL) Limited , Parkville, Victoria.
