Bale marked 'MT' at top left; around, 'MOSES TOLANTO BARBADOES'.
A cask marked 'MT' on top at left; around, 'FREEDOM WITHOUT SLAVERY'.
Pridmore found the name Moses Tolano as a merchant in Bridgetown, Barbados. He was buried 30 May 1852. It is suggested that this is the corrrect name of the issuer of these tokens.
