At centre within a beaded circle, a scroll ornamentation containing Chinese characters YAT YUEN or Yi Yuan (one dollar) at top and bottom, and Malay characters SATU RINGGIT (one dollar) at right and left; at centre, a Chinese labyrinth; around, a key pattern
