Quill pen cutter made by Savigny & Co, London, circa 1810-1850. It was used for cutting the points on quill pins. Savigny & Co were a London based razor and surgical instrument maker, who operated from 67 James's Street from circa 1810 to 1872.

Physical Description

Quill pen cutter with an ebony handle, it consists of a cutter for cutting and splitting the quill point and an ordinary blade for preparing the quill for insertion in the point cutter.
