Racing bicycle used by Hubert Opperman to set the 24 hour world record in 1927.

This particular bicycle is a "Tour de France" model, made by Malvern Star Bruce Small Pty. Ltd - a company Opperman was heavily involved in during his cycling career.

On 5-6 October 1927, Opperman set a world record for unpaced road cycling over a single 24 hour period, covering 416 miles from Mt. Gambier to Melbourne.
