Physical Description

Breech mechanism of a hinged turn bolt for loading with paper cartridge, lightly engraved with foliate scrolls. Steel lock and hammer on R.H. side, lightly engraved with foliate scrolls, steel oval triggerguard with small front spur, no sideplate, steel butt plate with hinged cleaning kit compartment, both sling swivels missing, half-stocked with horn foreend and chequering at wrist and foreend. Bedded blade front sight, rear sight graduated to 900 yards, barrel fastened to stock via single barrel key.
