Cased pair of percussion pocket pistols, cal. 43 bore (.475). Made by Henry Nock, London, late 18th century.

Physical Description

Screw off, smooth bore barrel 1 3/8 in. (35 mm.) long, overall length 5 1/8 in. (131 mm.) Rounded box lock with central hammer, folding trigger & sliding safety bolt. Chequered wooden grip with rounded butt, silver butt cap & monogram plate. Lock box engraved with flags & trophies. Mahogany case lined with red velvet (not original), has James Purdey label inside lid. No accessories in case. Pistols supposed to have been converted from flintlock.
