This wax model is based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by Charles Draper, Charnwood, Hazelglen, in 1875. The model was made by museum artist Thomas McMillan in 1875 for display at the 1876 Centennial International Exhibition, Philadelphia.

Synonyms: Blenheim Orange, Blenheim Pippin, Woodstock Pippin, Northwick Pippin, Kempster's Pippin. This apple is a cooking and dessert variety and is harvested in autumn-winter.
