Certificate to Naturalize, issued to Samuel Edward Boldner of Daylesford, in 1860. Samuel was a native of Hungary who had arrived in Australia in 1852 on the ship "Yarra Yarra", aged 45. He need to become naturalized to be allowed to purchase real estate. Samuel worked as carpenter.

Certificates of Naturalization were issued to aliens of Australia which allowed the bearer to be treated as and have the same rights as a citizen of the British Empire.
