Framed medallion belonging to Mrs Anna Anchesci, an Italian Migrant. St. Anthony of Padua is a very popular saint. He was renowned for his preaching and for working many miracles during his lifetime which earned him the title of 'wonder-worker'. St Anthony is the patron of lost articles, Portugal, and harvests. His feast is June 13. He is usually depicted bearing the Child Jesus in his arms and holding a lily.

Physical Description

Large circular medallion, in blue plastic, with a gold painted rim. The medallion depicts St Anthony, with halo holding a child Jesus and kissing his head. The white plastic frame which holds the medallion in place, is in the shape of a wreath of lilies in a basket.
