Yellow velvet artificial flower made by Marion Kann. Marion (Mimi) was of born in Vienna, Austria in 1910. She immigrated to Australia in 1939, most likely fleeing the persecution of the Nazi regime as she was Jewish. In Australia she married follow a refugee and Austrian Jew Herbert Kann.

Physical Description

One artificial flower made from stiffened yellow velvet. The stiffening has been reinforced with wire. Black spots and orange colouring have been added by hand. Stamens and stems have been made from wire bound with orange paper. The flower is in the shape of a tiger lily, with six petals and six stamens.
