Summary

This is a colour postcard showing the Royal Exhibition Building with trees and the lake in the foreground, 1990. The postcard, which is unused, was made in support of Melbourne's bid for the 1996 Olympic Games. The card lists the Royal Exhibition Building as the venue for boxing, fencing, judo, wrestling and modern pentathlon (fencing). The first day of issue for the postcard was 22 June 1990.

Physical Description

A colour postcard with a photograph of the Royal Exhibition Building on the front. Behind the photograph there is a duotone pattern depicting an aerial view of Melbourne. On the reverse of the card there is a colour photograph of a koala, text, an Olympic postage stamp printed in the top right hand corner and space for an address and message. The card is unused.
