Gala Dinner menu issued to passengers travelling on the P&O Line ship SS Iberia on 3 January 1956. It was collected by Donald Dott during his travels between Australia and Europe in 1954-1956.

Many ships such as the SS Iberia carried both tourists and immigrants, and documents such as dinner menus, luggage labels, and King Neptune certificates were provided to all passengers.

Physical Description

A5 sized thin cardboard menu, consisting of four pages. Front cover is decorated with an image of two costumed figures, dressed as Pierot and Columbine, posing under an Arabic-styled marquee, from which is hung a banner `Gala Menu'. Inside is printed the menu for a dinner held on the P & O ship Iberia, on 3rd January, 1956. There is also space to collect autographs. The back cover is blank.
