Experimental issue black leather cap designed by Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) and worn in Antarctica.

Physical Description

This black leather cap has been made with two side ear flaps that tie below the chin. At the front of the cap is a visor for protection again the wind. The crest of the cap comes to a small peak; and is lined on the inside with a grey material and padding sewn in a quilt type pattern. Also on the inside, there is a brown velour lining of the visor, the ear flaps and the section of the back of the neck.
