White net scarf made in 1908 which is part of a Slovenian national costume. It was worn by Ivanka Bobek's mother when attending church services or participating in religious processions. Ivanka's mother died when she was 13 months old. Ivanka brought this scarf along with some items from her mother's glory box with her when she migrated to Australia in 1951, via Displaced Persons Camps in Europe. Each of the items Ivanka brought with her were handcrafted using traditional techniques, which she maintains.
