This dress was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L circa 1986. The paisley range designed by Prue Acton and Merrill Clarke around fabrics purchased in Germany. According to the donor, shoulder pads were a typical feature of women's clothes, such as this, in the 1980s, often associated with the 'Corporate Woman' look.

Physical Description

Long-sleeved mid-calf length dress consisting of panels from 'Paisley' range. Colours are predominantly gree, navy and burgundy. Dress is straight and waistless and flared from the knees.Collarless neckline is fastened by 3 grey buttons and hook-and-eye at front. Long zip fastens back and cuffs secured by 2 fabric covered buttons. Dress has shoulder pads.
