Jar of orange pigment made by Amaco, used by artist Martha Ash, circa 1996. Martha Ash was born in Poland in 1920 and lost all her family in the Holocaust. She came to Australia in 1949 where she studied ceramics, sculpture silver smithing, enamelling and glass mosaic. This pigment was used in the enamelling process. Martha Ash died in September 1996.

Physical Description

Small clear plastic jar with white plastic lid partially filled with orange pigment. Jar is labelled with printed paper label. Lid has been incorrectly labelled by hand.
