Audio and video interview with Maggie Mackenzie and Steven Vandenbergh by Liza Dale-Hallett at their home at Stanley, North East Victoria on 14 May 2010. Maggie and Steven moved from Melbourne to Stanley in 2004, where they operate a business specialising in the production of gourmet jams, sauces and relishes. They were forced to evacuate multiple times during the Black Saturday bushfires.

This interview covers the development of the Jim Jam business, Maggie and Steven's 'tree change' experience, community involvement, and their previous experience of bushfires. Maggie and Steven discuss their experience of Black Saturday, the multiple evacuations, communications, road blocks, the different impact of the bushfires on men and women, the challenge of returning home with the fear of a burnt out home and business. They offer reflections on the CFA, DSE, Royal Commission, fire warnings, media coverage, recovery and reconstruction processes, the Bushfire Relief Fund and the important role in collecting stories to document this bushfire.
