Description of Content

A man in sports uniform on his racing bicycle, on the footpath outside a row of houses. This photograph shows William Henry 'Bob' Jones on a bicycle, in the early 1940s. It was taken outside his friend Al Webb's place in Brunswick. 'Bob' was riding for the Coburg Amateur Cycling Club. He used to ride on 'the boards', a board track in North Essendon. It was the standard racing surface used then.
