Description of Content

A group of people sunning themselves on the top deck of a house boat moored on the Murray River at Renmark. The paddle boat is powered by a petrol driven Ferguson TEATractor. Photograph published in Massey-Ferguson Review Jan/Feb 1966, No.87. "To adapt the Fergy for its river work the wheels, steering and hydraulics were removed, paddle shafts were fitted instead of rear wheels and the gearbox was modified to provide only two gears - forward and reverse. Remote hydraulics were fitted to the original turning brakes and, together with a conventional rudder, these are controlled by the steering wheel."
