Form letter, printed on blue paper, and completed by hand. Addressed to Mrs Annie Kemp, the widow of Pte Albert Edward Kemp, who had been killed in action in World War I. The letter explains that the 'Allotment of Pay' from Albert Kemp would cease on 16 December 1917, less than three months after his death on 21 September in the trenches of Belgium. The letter advises the recepient that 'If you are a dependent of a deceased soldier, you are advised to make an immediate application for a War Pension'. Annie Kemp did so.
