New Testament brought from England to Australia by Susannah Nicholls in 1923. This Bible was published by University Press, Oxford in 1848. William and Susannah Nicholls, their two children Margaret and John and Will's uncle John Spence migrated to Australia in 1923. In Australia the family first moved to Walwa in North Eastern Victoria, where Will was appointed as a teacher. They then moved to Pearcedale on the Mornington Peninsula, as Will was keen to try farming. The farming was unsuccessful, and both Will and Susannah returned to teaching.
